Driving around Europe as much as we do, you get a bit 'picky' when driving the motorways :) Meaning that when you need a break we always look for a 'Marche' in Switzerland and we look for freshly squeezed juice in Italy - which is almost everywhere you stop. We've come to know the different brands of 'pit-stops' and we actually enjoy it :D

The sun is out and everything just looks so much more beautiful in sun-light. After three days in Bologna - we drove on to Zermatt so that Per could do a bit more skiing. On the way we visited yet another Outlet Center and yet another Desigual shop - just love that brand. Even Per's got a couple of Desigual shirts now :) We're staying at the same hotel as last time we were in Zermantt - which is half an hours walk from town. And when you're walking back - it's uphill, so quite a walk.... especially in ski-pants and big boots..... but we managed :) It's a very nice hotel, very friendly staff and very, very cozy or 'hyggeligt' as we would say in Danish. The first couple of days haven't been great though - for skiing - as it's cloudy and poor visibility - but today it seems a bit more promising - the sun is desperately trying to get through and it's snowing a bit - very beautiful! Zermatt is a bit too pretentious for us though. We had dinner last night at a big hotel in town and it was just sooo over the top. Men in jackets and ties and women in dresses and high heels - and the waiters were running around like crazy. Very glad our hotel is not like that! But - the food was excellent, so that saved the evening :) After three days in Nice we drove to Bologna in Italy, where Per had to meet up with another Partner of ours. Bologna was a lot colder than Nice - brrrrr..... and it was raining most of the time - but.... we still managed to have a good time. When it got too cold - we just went inside for a drink and some nibbles. Yahoooo - much better temperatures here in Nice - around plus10-14 degrees during the day - so nice instead of minus 10-14 degrees like in Serre Chevalier :) Per had meetings with a Reseller so I walked into town to do some window-shopping. However - I'm still struggling a bit with strength in my legs after the radiation to spine, so after 2-3 hours I was ready to drop - and I still had half an hour to walk from town to our hotel. I got there somehow - but couldn't move for the next 2-3 hours :) So we've had 3 days in Lucerne where Per had meetings with Partners and potential customers. Not much to say about these 3 days - it was cold, grey and we were jet-lagged :) After Lucerne we drove to Serre Chevalier in Francer where Per had 5 days of skiing and I was working, doing research, took an online course for my new iPhone, etc. Serre Chevalier was better than Per had expected, so that was perfect. Per usually came home for lunch - or we would meet up afterwards around 3pm for a drink. So the only problem was that it was very, very cold.... But the hotel we stayed at had a couple of good restaurants, so we survived :) And... it's that time of the year again - time for skiing. Per is soo excited - and he got new ski boots - doesn't get much better than that - according to Per that is :)
We start in Luzerne for 3 days, where Per's got quite a few meetings and then we drive on to Briancon in France - for skiing. After that we go to Nice to visit one of our top-resellers and then on to Bologna in Italy to visit yet another reseller - and then back up to Zermatt in Switzerland for more skiing. And as usual - we finish off in Denmark where Tina and Janus have arranged the christening of Marcus while we're there :) Right now we're in Singapore waiting for the next flight to Zürich - so let the adventure begin :) |
