Another breakfast - and we found a good place this time - a cafe called Fusion. And after breakfast - as usual - a bit of a walk. And today it was extra magical - as the fog was rolling in from the sea - very beautiful! Saturday we had our yearly Midwinter-Christmas Party - this time at Nick and Ali's - and we had raclette, which is always a lot of fun - especially since you don't seem to get a lot of food (because we have to make it ourselves... so it takes a while) - and in the meantime you get a lot of wine instead... But it was great to all be together again - as always! (Click to see bigger photos)

Busy, busy, busy - and COLD !!! Not used to it being so cold - or at least we forget each year that we have 3-4 days each winter where the temperature comes down to 2-4 degrees at night - and that's really, really cold for us Kiwi's. But - the good thing about the cold is that it usually means it's sunny and clear during the day - and that's the weather we've been having for a while now - sunny and clear with a hint of clouds in between. So we have absolutely nothing to complain about :) We keep training for our walk in the Dolomites in September so for the last two weekends we have done more walks - and taken more photos - of course :) We did a walk at Duder National Park - starting with breakfast along the beach and then a walk in the Park. . And last weekend Per and I climbed another mountain - almost twice the size of Mt. Eden..... We started with breakfast at 'Elevation' in the Waitakere with the best view - ever. And then we drove to Karekare and walked up Mt. Zion.... only felt sick once which is a big improvement :) And we got up in 45 minutes, so not bad! So Per is now convinced that I'll be OK when we get to the Dolomite's - which is a nice feeling :) |
G&PThis is our blog - we use this to keep track of what we've done and where we've been.... as we can't always remember :) Archives
