Since we got back from Europe in late August we've been busy as always.
I'm working on my new 'project' - Customer Experience, which is very exciting, but also quite overwhelming. So we are getting some help from NZTE - NZ Trade & Enterprise. They have a lot of experience in this area - which I don't... so that should help :)
I'm also painting - now in two different places. I've set up an area in the back of our offices - the fire escape actually, where I can have 4-5 paintings on the walls and go and have a play in between work. It's very therapeutic and a really good break for my brain in between work. I still have my studio as well, where I go to do the bigger pieces and the pieces that need floor space - like my hessian work, etc.
In the meantime - it's spring down here and we're enjoying lots of good walks. We're in training for our big walk in Europe next summer. We're going to go to Europe with Nick and Ali and we'll do one thing they've chosen and one thing we've chosen. So we start with 'our' week - which is walking in the Dolomites in Italy. Per is busy finding all the right equipment and all the right walks... I just got the most amazing hiking boots this weekend, which I now have to get ready for the trip. New hiking boots always take a while to get 'ready' :) And then Nick and Ali's weekend - which is also very exciting - and also something we wanted to do - which is a week of sailing the French canals. So lots of planning to do - which is lovely, as that's half of the fun - we think :)
Here's a few spring photos:
