Again - town not as charming as the islands and the hotel was a story on it's own.... Apparently we happened to have chosen THE hotel where the young Greek jetsetters go on holiday...... Lucky for us it was still kind of out of season, so not too many people in the hotel. But even with the few Greeks there we experienced what this jetsetter life was like.....
Came down to the bar to have a glass of wine as the sun was setting - in the hope of just sitting there enjoying the last of the sun and looking out over the beautiful sea just in front of us....... such a peaceful time of day. But - the techno music (as I've been told it's called....) was so loud we couldn't even speak to each other, let alone enjoy the last rays of the sun. And the bass was just pounding so you could feel it beat going through your bones...... not what we really had envisioned for quiet time.... I can only imagine what it will be like during high season...... So if you're in your 20s (or even 30s) and into party and loud music - this is the place for you - but NOT for us, no matter how young at heart we are :)
And our week in Peloponnese was just too hot for me - over 30 degrees is just too much for me and we had days with 36-37 degrees......... So again - so happy we've seen it, but not expecting to come back.
A couple of photos from Nafplio - a pretty little town we visited on our way to Portacheli (again - not pretty as the islands, but definitely the prettiest town we've seen in Peloponnese.. And we had a nice lunch here - even though it was very, very hot!
